CINEMA FROM PAST TO PRESENT

              WORLD CINEMA HISTORY

Based on my research, I can say that cinema emerged in the world at the end of the 19th century. As technology progressed, studies in cinema increased and new information was learned. The world cinema journey began in silence. Movies were created without sound as the technology of sound was not available at the beginning. A device did not exist that could synchronise sound with the picture. Cinema remained silent for the first thirty years until sound technology was developed late in the 1920’s and the first film screenings began in 1895 with the short films shot by the Lumiere Brothers. It took place in the hall in the Grand Cafe in Paris. First comedy film was "The Gardener Wet" by the Lumiere brothers.

After this period, cinemas called Nikelodeon were established and opened in the USA.In 1906, a 70-minute movie called "The Story of Kelly Gang" was released in Australia and became the longest film ever made. Then The Squaw Man  Hollywood production is considered the first film.In 1914 Charlie Chaplin joined the cinema. He entered the world of cinema with the character of Little Tramp in the movie Kid Auto Races at Venice.

The Lights of New York, shot entirely as a sound film by Warner Bros, broke the box office record of the period with a gross of approximately. The increase in the number of viewers with audio cinema started to increase investments in cinema. Then movies started to attract more attention, movie theaters were smaller than the number of people coming, and from this year larger theaters started to be opened.
