SET WORKERS
As in most professions, there are big problems in the serial and film sector. The rights of set employees are being defeated day by day. These people have many problems such as overtime hours, working in difficult conditions, set accidents, wage problems. I want to touch on their experiences and share the difficulty of the sector with you.
Based on the stories of a former set worker whose interviews I read, I can say that those who do this profession work under very difficult conditions.According to the scenario, these people working on the set sometimes throw bombs, roll cars, stay in a fire scene in order to create the appropriate environment.Behind a scene shot with guns, there is even a friend who says the dry gun explodes in his hand.Or there is another set worker who gets injured when he gets on the crane to adjust the light.They work in accident prone environments and most of the sets do not have occupational safety experts.Almost all of the accidents are caused by negligence and not taking precautions.It is also a fact that as if they were working in insecure environments, they worked for a long time and returned home too late.and the salary they receive in return for them is far below what they deserve.Producers and employers only think about the money they get and don't think about the labor of the people working on the set.We must support the people working in this business and seek their rights.
